Who We Are
School Settlement Worker in Schools (SWIS) (formerly known as Settlement and Education Partnership in Toronto or SEPT) is a school-based program that supports students and their families who have arrived in Canada in the past few years and helps them with their settlement process.
What We Do
As SEPT Settlement Workers, we provide orientation on newcomer needs and cultural representation to school staff. We also can help by connecting you with the resources and information in the community, as well as helping to bridge the communication between students and the school staff.
How We Do
We arrange informative group sessions, both on-site and online, run by specialized guest speakers who will help you in enhancing your understanding of various aspects of life in Canada.
